Alatar and Pallando, the Blue Wizards

This project took some time and research. These are Alatar (in the light blue) and Pallando (in the dark blue), two of the five wizards set to Middle Earth from the works of J.R.R. Tolkien. Not much is actually known about them, but they do get a brief mention in the Peter Jack version of The Hobbit.

Of the pieces used, many came courtesy of Brick Forge (Alatar's staff and hair), the gems, beards, and capes from ebay, and the body used for Alatar came from a Dumbledore torso and the legs from a European set brought from Amazon. Pallando was easier, I simply used the parts from a retired set I already had. For the beards, I bought two from the Santa Claus minifigures and used them, and the heads are a spare Gandalf (for Alatar) and from a Loki minifigure (for Pallando). I originally had two with similar staffs and I decided give Pallando a forged staff, similar to what Saruman has in the movies. That way both with be a little more each unique.
