OK, I am still feeling pretty down today, but I wanted to comment on the upcoming Doctor Who Christmas episode. Let me first say, what I have to say here is my own opinion and I mean not to offend anyone.
(sighs) I like Doctor Who, but for me, the show has been going downhill ever since Matt Smith's debut as the 11th. And the past two Christmas specials have been in the string of disappointments in his tenure. The 2010 one was just an uninspired A Christmas Carol piece and last year's... I won't lie, I was so bored and disengaged by it, I gave up watching it at the first commercial break. Now, in all the time I've watch this show, this is the first time I've ever given up on watching an episode. I still have never seen it in its entirety.
Now I've seen promos for this one. I had hopes, given we'd get the new companion, but the enemy appears to be killer snowmen. I'd much rather prefer Ice Warriors or the Robot Yeti. Still, I will try to catch it and hopefully it won't be a repeat of last year. Here's to it.

Mario Bros Meets Pokemon Idea
Hey, everyone, how's it going? Feeling a bit bored today, so I decided to take some time to organize ideas to potentially commission artists to try. This one idea has me especially stumped. If you were to drop Peach, Daisy, Rosalina, and Pauline from Mario Bros into the world of Pokemon, what trainer class would each best fit into? Now, I'm not talking about specific main characters, I mean those you encounter and battle along the way. This is just a random idea I've been thinking about as a means to get more creative gears turning. Often enough small things lead to larger breakthroughs for me, and give artist more and fun ideas to work with whenever I commission them. So, any input would be greatly appreciated, thanks.
Ten years ago today, my life absolutely changed. Little that I knew at the time, but a fateful encountered opened the door to path I never expected to trek down. It was the day I first contacted my friend, Dylan. I was actually preparing to leave this site, when I discovered Dylan’s artwork here online, and after some browsing, I decided to take a chance and sent him a message. I expressed my like of his work, and asked about the (slim) chance he’d be willing to ever hear out ideas. I didn’t think of it much, and wasn’t certain I’d even get a reply. But lo and before, he did. As time went on, our conversations broadened to many different topics, often shared interests, and we began pitching ideas to one another. Now, ten years, three visits, and a stockpile of ideas later, here we are. Dylan is more than my best friend. He is the little brother I never had. It’s incredible to think about, but the people I would’ve never encountered if not for knowing Dylan, by way of direct connections
Update for 6-2-2020
Hey, everyone, hope you all are doing well, all things considered currently. Myself, I won't lie, it's been a rough few weeks for me. Stuff at work and home have got me on edge and my main original, Roxy and Chelsea is in need of some major overhauls, at my own admission. I am hopefully I can smooth out and flesh out things to make the idea better in the long run. And let's see, I recently got back into playing Pokemon Shield, having beaten the main story this past Friday. I had wanted to complete that before the DLC was due. Speaking of, I am certainly intrigued by what all is in store for the Isle of Armor and Crown Tundra areas. Typically I've only gotten DLC for games on sparse occasions, but this seemed to be something I'd enjoy so I purchased it about a week ago. Next, I know E3 this year has been long called off, but here's hoping this month offers more upcoming gaming news. I will confess I've had only a very limited interest in the Paper Mario series, but recently seeing

You know, I watched the Christmas episode, and I had no problem with it. It was lots of fun, and the last five minutes were something of a payoff for what initially was a pretty "down" theme: a depressed Doctor who parked the Tardis in a park up in a cloud. The last five minutes more than made up for how they got to those last five minutes. I've figured out over the years that when you come to a Doctor Who episode, its helpful to just leave your own prejudices and preconceptions behind, and enjoy. You get more out of the episode, and it makes it easy to escape for an hour or so. Forget who *you* think should show up. Just appreciate who *does* show up, and enjoy the story that is spun out in front of you. That's how it works for me, your mileage may vary...
